Pourakarmikas stir continues for third day


Warn of whole suspension of labor from July 5 if calls for not met

Mysore/Mysuru: The indefinite stir launched by Direct Cost System Pourakarmikas of Mysuru metropolis Company (MCC) in entrance of the MCC primary workplace on Sayyaji Rao Highway,  in search of regularisation of service and achievement of different calls for, entered the third day at present, badly affecting waste assortment and disposal, cleansing actions and such different civic  works within the metropolis.

Addressing the protestors this morning, MCC Pourakarmika Affiliation President N. Mara stated that Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai is predicted to announce the Authorities’s resolution on resolving the problem by tomorrow night. If the Authorities resolution will not be beneficial, then the Contract Cost System Pourakarmikas, together with regularised Pourakarmikas will strike work from July 5, thus bringing an entire halt to all civic works.

Mentioning that there are as many as 1,648 direct cost system Pourakarmikas, 385 door-to-door waste collectors and 231 sanitation staff connected to the MCC, Mara stated that tomorrow (July 4) morning, the affiliation leaders will go to all of the 65 wards of the MCC and search the help of  regularised Pourakarmikas, who’ve continued to work. They will even be requested to cease work from July 5 and be a part of the continued indefinite stir, he stated including that the stir will probably be intensified if the Authorities doesn’t contemplate the Pourakarmika  calls for.

Pourakarmika chief Rachaiah, who additionally addressed the protestors, stated that the Mestris and Pourakarmika leaders will go to all MCC wards from 6 am to eight am tomorrow to hunt the help of regularised Pourakarmikas, who’re 530 in quantity.
